ADVENTURES . . .

We've all had them. Most of the time we don't give a thought about memorializing them in print. However, these two years were special to me. You see, I almost gave up riding because my wife was no longer able to ride and, not really knowing anyone else that rides, the joy had faded. My rides were turning out to be just riding to a planned destination, doing a quick look around, and then head back home the straightest way. Pretty much just how it was when Clark Griswold stopped at the Grand Canyon in Vacation

This all changed in the fall of 2022 when my cousin, Rob, invited me to visit him in Dalton, Ohio. Once there, we would spend a few days riding those fantastic Ohio roads before heading up to Erie, PA. There we would meet up with three of his good friends and ride with the Nation of Patriots.

Those days spent riding with great people made me realize that riding isn't just getting on two wheels and going somewhere. It's all about meeting and making new friends who share the same passion for motorcycling. With this in mind I've starting meeting with a local R.O.M.E.O. club (Retired Old Motorcyclists Eating Out) where there are a lot of passionate motorcyclist to ride with. I now have no intention of giving up two-wheel riding!

Sadly, my cousin Rob passed away earlier this year - 2024 - so there will be no more visits to Ohio. However, I hope to visit those friends that I made there one more time, so keep an eye out for further adventures!
